Dr. Gerhard Fisher designed the first metal detector which he named Metallascope,

(...hence the name M-Scope) in the early 1930's, making Fisher the world's oldest

metal detector manufacturer. Mr. Fisher continued his research and production

I bought this for $175 from a guy that listed it on Craig's List.. he even delivered it to me. I liked it a lot and and hated to let it go but I needed cash for a new Garrtett AT Pro :) soooo... the unit was SOLD to someone in Lithuania for $225 plus shipping after I listed it on eBay, Lets wish them luck.. lots of old stuff buried in europe! 
What I liked about it was that you could set 2 controls for discrimination, and use the toggle switch to switch between them. Then the toggle switch could be switched tom a third position to work the unit as an effective "no motion" audible pinpoint device.
