The rest of the stuff from about 45 minutes of hunting. The Sterling pendant was found almost a foot down in black mud. |
If you can imagine the hardened sand and oxidation completely encasing the pendant, that is how I found it. |
The small parts with the imprint of the pendant I peeled off are Silver Oxide and Sand that formed over time from the salt water (I am guessing here) |
A small "sterling" stamp on the back confirms Silver! - On my portable scale, wt= 3.2 Grams |
