Brent Weaver

This guy is an Electronics genius, suffice it to say... he has made significant gains in the evolution of iron discrimination for affordable metal detectors. I can attest that for years, metal detectors and their treasure hunting operators have been getting fooled by Iron and steel into thinking many underground targets were a buried coin or ring.An area littered with iron objects in the ground can cover up good targets and even create phantom signals that at first glance appear to be good target signals. The AT Pro includes a selectable Iron Audio feature that allows the user to hear discriminated iron. This allows you to have the most information and avoid being tricked into digging an undesired target.

Sweating my ass off digging deep holes only to find worthless bottle caps is a big pain-in-the-butt. But now I can easily find out if it is a bottle cap or some other similar metal object before I decide to start digging a 1-2 foot hole in the dirt. I am more of a "dig it all" type person but sometimes I am not and it is nice to now have a choice.

Now if he could tackle aluminum, it would make me and a lot of other metal detector enthusiasts very happy. Aluminum can trick almost all metal detectors into thinking the target is just about anything (except for iron) depending on its size and it is a big problem as it is everywhere people litter.
